Why is good to read tales to the children? Storytelling

Every children show an interest towards tales. The time of reading a tale is a moment of sweetness, pleasure and knowledge. It happens so many things in the tales!! Sometimes it seems that the tales contain excessive violent or absurd situations, but this is only an opinion of the XXth century.

Storytelling is a very important aspect of children´s moral education.

Nowadays the psicologists affirm that the tales help to the children to resolve their affective problems: if they are lacking of attention such as Cinderella, the tale will give relief showing them that finally they will find someone who will love them.

Some characters cause fear to the children, but they are very useful. They provide a face to the anguish, a fear that can not be expressed, that is the anguish. These character appear in order to make manifest to this anguish. The character is dead by different forms and finally the child becomes lightered, not because the character has died but because the adult is with him/her and protecting him/her.

Tales are a medium of practice children´s intelligence, when a child is reading or listening to a tale he/she works the auditive memory and learn to retain the structure of the tale, that is the first step towards an intelligent reading, that not consist on decode the signs, it consists on decode the meaning of the hole tale.

Ways of teaching vocabulary

Rescatando apuntes universitarios os dejo estas breves notas sobre como enseñar vocabulario. Puede ser de utilidad para los supuestos prácticos de las oposiciones.

There are different forms of teaching vocabulary.
We can use vocabulary using:

• Photographs
• Drawings
• Showing the objects (or moving the objects)
• Word maps
• Flashcards ( big or little pictures)

Example of word map:

House  Go home  Rooms  Kitchen  Food  ….
